If your shop is like mine, you do not want to wait a week for those overpriced battery cables that we are finding in the Chryslers and Jeeps, Cadillacs and a lot of foreign cars, not to mention all of the Light Duty Diesel Trucks.
I worked with 5 different companies at the Las Vegas SEMA Convention last year to find a company that will supply to us, in smaller quantities, the parts, cables and tools to either make or repair these battery cables.
We have been using our new crimpers and cable ends to repair a lot of battery cables in the last 4 months, saving our customers from waiting for that special order cable. We have put together 2 different kits that will repair almost any cable size you will find on cars and light trucks.

We have been able to build these special cables for about 25% of what we would have to pay normally and we’re still able to charge the customer the normal price and actually make a decent profit on the repair.
If you have one of those cables that goes all over the engine compartment, you can splice just the top 12 inches of the cable with a new cable, saving extra time and money for the customer. You can even put up to 2 4gauge cables into one crimp terminal.

MOST DRIVEABILITY PROBLEMS ARE THE RESULT OF VOLTAGE DROP IN THE BATTERY CABLES AND ALTERNATOR LEADS
